Job overview

Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy are welcoming and ambitious schools in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.

Since December 2016 Wroughton Academies have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the schools to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children they teach and a brand new link building was opened in 2019 to ensure that the two schools are as closely linked as possible.

Our mission is to develop the full academic, personal and social potential of each individual pupil. Through the highest expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful.

Creative Education Trust is looking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to:

1. Provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the two schools that raises aspirations and drives academic performance

2. Champion a culture that encourages initiative and accountability and strengthens the quality of leadership at all levels

3. Deliver a rich and varied curriculum offer that meets pupils’ needs in an ever changing world

4. Develop effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders across the community to fulfil the schools' goals

An existing Headteacher or Senior Leader with substantial experience of school leadership, you have the creativity, drive and ambition to lead our schools.

You will possess the leadership qualities and flair to make great things happen that will take the Wroughton Academies to the next level. You are committed to further developing a strong team of leaders, teachers and support staff to deliver a culture of continuous school improvement.

Building on the ethos of Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy, you will foster an environment in which learning continues to thrive and where students are at the heart of everything.

In return for your energy, passion and ambition, we offer you the whole hearted support of a very successful and growing multi-academy trust in continuing to develop Wroughton Academies. You will also be rewarded with a highly attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a group of highly talented Principals and Headteachers to drive the Trust’s future.

Our Director of Education, Nicole McCartney, would be delighted to discuss this role with you. To arrange a suitable time please contact our School Improvement Coordinator, Emma Sweeney, on Emma.Sweeney@creativeeducationtrust.org.uk

Closing date for applications: Monday 25th September 2023

Creative Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake relevant safeguarding checks.
