· Based in Newport village in west Essex, with good access links to Cambridge and London, we are a well-established one-form entry primary school.
· Part of a diverse village community, the school has been transformed over the last 5 years to become an inclusive mainstream school with a focus on child-led learning.
· Embedded Trauma Perceptive Practice ensures positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
· Ofsted rated ‘Good’, ‘leaders have high expectations for children across the curriculum…clear vision and direction for the school…pupil’s learning goes beyond the academic curriculum’ March 2020.
The role
The headteacher will:
· lead, develop and support the direction, vision, values, and priorities of the school
· continue to work in partnership with the governing body, senior leadership team and school staff, providing overall strategic leadership for the school.
· lead and manage teaching and learning throughout the school, recognising the whole person.
· have overall responsibility and accountability for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils within the school.
· ensure the continuation of existing, successful initiatives, whilst leading on a clear vision for school improvement.
· develop and evaluate the school's policies, practices, and procedures.
The ideal candidate
This appointment provides an attractive opportunity for an existing headteacher, experienced deputy / assistant headteacher or experienced senior leader.
