Job overview

Following the appointment of Mrs Rowena Cole as Headteacher of St John’s Leatherhead, we are looking to recruit an outstanding Head to succeed her at Dunottar School and continue to build on her success.

Since joining United Learning in 2014, Dunottar School has gained a reputation as an extremely popular, nurturing and academically successful, co-educational secondary school. As part of our Group, the leadership team work closely with colleagues across our other schools in the South East and across the country whilst enjoying the opportunity to develop Dunottar as it has grown into a first choice school for local families. The trajectory the school is currently on is both significant and potentially highly rewarding for an ambitious leader looking to build on stable foundations in a school with an appetite for the strong, national reputation that is within its grasp.

If you are interested to know more about the role, please contact Lizzie Bingham on lizzie.bingham@unitedlearning.org.uk.

Closing date of midnight on Sunday, 15th Jan 2017

Dunottar is a vibrant, co-educational independent secondary school set in extensive grounds of 15 acres on the outskirts of Reigate, Surrey. We have 460 pupils across years 7-13 and are part of United Learning’s large and growing family of schools. We are a first-choice school for parents in the local area and operate a waiting list for admissions.

Through excellent teaching and outstanding pastoral care, we aim to bring out the best in every pupil, enabling them to be the very best they can be. We believe that for pupils to succeed in the workplace of the future, they need a well-rounded education that goes beyond academics. Our unique Warrior Learning ethos encourages pupils to aim high, to challenge themselves and not to fear making mistakes, whilst also developing an excellent set of values.
