Headteacher
As a Voluntary Aided Church of England School serving the community across Merton, Bishop Gilpin School is an oversubscribed, inclusive two-form entry primary school educating 415 pupils from Reception to Year 6 and a growing nursery provision for 51 pupils.
We are seeking a Headteacher to lead Bishop Gilpin School through the next stage in its development as a truly excellent school, achieving high standards at early years foundation stage (EYFS), KS1 and KS2. The successful leader will establish their own vision and ensure all staff have opportunities to work collaboratively to the benefit of the pupils in their care.
This headship is best suited to a headteacher or an experienced deputy, with excellent interpersonal skills, authentic leadership, and ideally substantial experience of working in an inclusive CoE School.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a clear vision of what makes an exceptional school and the skills and character required to develop this;
- Be fully aligned with Bishop Gilpin’s values of equality, caring, forgiveness, thankfulness and Christian ethos;
- Have a track record of significant management experience, leading a committed staff and delivering highly effective education for the pupils they serve;
- Be committed to working in partnership with governors, parents/carers, the local parish, diocese and the wider school community to deliver strong outcomes for pupils;
- Act with integrity and build effective, trusting relationships with colleagues and pupils.

Salary: £87,075 to £92,004
Contract: Permanent, full time
