The Health, Safety & Risk Manager is responsible for providing advice and support to the School community in order to ensure that all health, safety and fire legislation and relevant standards are adhered to, and appropriate policies and practices are adopted. The Health, Safety & Risk Manager will provide expert skills and knowledge to the school community in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture. The Health, Safety & Risk Manager will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures and work to minimise accidents, injuries and occupational health problems.
The Health, Safety & Risk Manager will provide advice and support to the Head and other senior staff on general risk management and compliance issues, driving improvements in the management of risk across all areas of the school.
The Health, Safety & Risk Manager role is primarily focussed on Sherborne School, Sherborne Prep and Sherborne International. Some support to other Group Schools (Sherborne Girls and Hanford) may be required on occasion, as directed by the Director of Risk Management.
This is a permanent part-time position.
