We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic High School Math Teacher to join our thriving school community. In this role, you will inspire students to excel in mathematics by delivering engaging lessons, fostering critical thinking, and developing problem-solving skills. You will help students understand the real-world applications of mathematical concepts, preparing them for higher education and future careers. Your role will be essential in shaping the academic journey of students and promoting a strong foundation in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans that align with the national and international curricula, including topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics.
- Instruction: Deliver dynamic and interactive mathematics lessons, ensuring content is accessible and engaging for all students.
- Assessment & Feedback: Use a range of assessment methods to track student progress and provide constructive feedback, ensuring continuous academic improvement. Adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs.
- Student Engagement: Encourage active student participation and critical thinking in every lesson. Promote collaborative learning and mathematical inquiry, ensuring students build confidence in their abilities.
- Differentiation: Tailor lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with varying levels of mathematical ability. Provide additional support where needed and challenge high achievers.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow math teachers and other departments to ensure an integrated and cohesive approach to student learning and well-being.
- Parental Communication: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, challenges, and provide guidance on how to further support learning at home.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay updated with curriculum changes, and learn new strategies in math education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- A teaching qualification or diploma in education (e.g., PGCE, teaching certification).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of high school teaching experience in the UAE.
- Proven ability to teach a range of mathematics topics (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics).
- Knowledge of UAE education system and international curricula (e.g., British, IB, or American).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and engage students with diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency in English (native or British English speakers preferred).
