We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Assistant Teacher to join our Primary team and support students across FS and Key Stage 1. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering whole-class lessons, strong experience in phonics, literacy and maths interventions, a passion for supporting children’s learnig and development.

Essential

  • Experience in a British Curriculum school setting
  • Experience in an Early Years setting – preferably a school or successful and established nursery

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in primary education or early years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide whole class teaching and learning support
  • Deliver lessons during teachers’ non-contact time
  • Plan and deliver focused intervention and booster sessions
  • Deliver high quality phonics sessions
  • Develop the learning environment, organise and manage resources and take the lead on specific projects
  • Undertake assessments and observations of children within the classroom, providing detailed and regular feedback on achievements, progress and areas for development
  • Adapt and deliver learning activities with individual children or small groups who would benefit from different learning approaches (as agreed).
  • Collaborate with class teachers to differentiate lessons and adapt materials for students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support teachers.
  • Assist in developing individual plans to support students’ academic growth.
  • Support students offering guidance and encouragement.
  • Attend relevant meetings as required
