We are seeking to appoint an Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities which may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or for whole classes as well as covering subject leads and teachers' PPA.
We are looking for someone who:
- can support the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes.
- can monitoring pupils and assessing whole classes under an agreed system of supervision.
- can undertake the job description of a Teaching Assistant at NVQ 3 level but to a higher level of expertise and experience, able to undertake or contribute to the development of strategies and policies and able to work with greater freedom and initiative.
- Can deliver whole class learning to release a class teacher for PPA or other non-contact time.
Our School
Three Peaks is a Primary Academy serving families from predominately, the Stonydelph and Wilnecote areas of Tamworth. Three Peaks is part of The Creative Education Academies Trust and converted to an academy on December 1st 2014.
The Academy is on a constant journey to raise standards so that the pupils get the best possible start to their education. We want them to be independent learners and successful members of society. In September 2017 Ofsted graded us as being Good in all areas and this was reconfirmed in February 2023.
