Job overview
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic professionals who are looking to work at Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) level and join our teaching and learning team at Ludlow Junior School. We are looking for individuals who are passionate and enjoy working with children and are keen to work both as an LSA and step in to teach whole classes, when needed, in years 3-6.
You would be expected to work alongside class teachers, supporting teaching and learning in classrooms, supporting children with a range of needs including some children with more complex learning needs as well as supporting all aspects of our curriculum, which could include playtime and lunchtime duties. There could be additional opportunities to support residential visits.
We are a school which is dedicated to on-going professional development and we would be expecting to coach you to develop all aspects of your teaching. You would work alongside our team leaders, teachers and report to our Deputy Headteacher.
Within your remit, we would expect you to teach whole classes of children, using the planning provided by the class teacher. Also, you would be expected to liaise with the class teacher around individual children, the progress the children made and any next steps needed.
