The successful candidate will be based in both the girl’s school and the boy’s school. Both schools are in the London borough of Brent.
You will be teaching years 7-9 and will be encouraged to deliver extracurricular activities. Enthusiasm in the subject, overall teaching expertise and professionalism are vital so as to inspire the students’ thirst for learning. It is essential that the school’s Islamic ethos is kept in mind to ensure maintenance of the positive teaching and learning environment, all of which is guided by the ethical and moral teachings of the faith.
Qualifications:
• Graduate or Equivalent
• QTS
• Experience teaching KS3

About Islamia Girls School
Islamia Girls’ School is a semi-selective, Muslim secondary school without sixth form, situated in Queen's Park, north-west London. The girls' school is independent and, along with the boys' secondary school, Brondesbury College, is part of Islamia Schools Ltd, a subsidiary of the Yusuf Islam Foundation. Islamia Girls’ School provides up to 160 places for secondary students between the ages of 11 and 16.
The school was founded by Yusuf Islam (formerly known as singer-songwriter Cat Stevens) in 1989 to provide a well-rounded Islamic education whilst also following the National Curriculum.
