History Teacher

History Teacher Required

Required for September 2017, well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to teach History in our Humanities Faculty (please note that there may also be some requirement to teach ‘Ethics and Values’ (RS) as well). The take up of History at GCSE and A Level is very strong. It would be expected that for both posts the successful candidate would be able to teach up to GCSE Level. For the permanent role, the ability to teach A Level is preferred.

The post has arisen due to the popularity of humanities in the school and is a new post. The exact breakdown of the teaching will not be finalised until the options process has been completed for Year 9 and Year 12. 

This is a great time to join our school as we have recently formed a multi-academy trust with three of our feeder primary schools, forming The Minerva Learning Trust. We are a member of The Pixl Club, The Jurassic Coast Alliance and The Jubilee Network. We have several staff involved in national initiatives and are an outwardly facing school in a beautiful part of the country!  We are a successful school academically and sit comfortably above the national average in all of the new attainment measures.
