Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a passionate teacher to join our successful history department. The subject is very popular at GCSE, with four classes in year 10 and five classes in 11. Numbers are also strong at A level with classes in year 12 and year 13. GCSE results are good. In 2024, 72% of students achieved a grade 4 or higher in their GCSE exam.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good subject knowledge and be passionate about the importance of history in the curriculum. They will be expected to be able to teach history to students across a range of key stages. The ability to teach politics at A level is considered to be an advantage.
