We are seeking to appoint a part-time Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our School Housekeeping team during term time. Managed by the Head of Housekeeping, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive cleaning service to the school and boarding houses, during term time.

The Pilgrims’ School is a leading, selective, day and boarding boys’ prep and double choir school for boys aged 4 to 13, set in a beautiful and historic ‘city meets country’ setting in Winchester.

We have the following 2 shift patterns available (term-time only), within our Housekeeping team. There is flexibility for the successful applicant to take one or both shifts.

Monday to Saturday - 06:30 –11:30

Monday to Friday – 16:30 – 18:30

Our housekeeping team are an integral part of the inner workings of the Pilgrims’ school and help to maintain the school buildings and grounds. The team ensure that there is a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene for staff and pupils maintained throughout the School

The housekeeping team are at school before and after the boys and staff arrive to ensure classrooms and facilities are ready for the day ahead. Once the school is in session, the team are responsible for cleaning the boarding houses.

It is imperative the team work to impeccable standard to ensure all areas are clean and often must anticipate staff needs before they realise them themselves e.g. more paper wipes in pre-prep or dusting the cobweb in the main hall.

The team work closely to support each other, are flexible to able to respond to a specific cleaning when required and provide a thorough and reliable service to the school.
