We are seeking to recruit a HR Assistant to join our busy HR team, working alongside the school’s HR Manager to drive forward the school’s growing HR provision. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR administrator or administrator wanting to start their HR career.

The working hours for the role are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, with a preference the appointed person to work 07:00am – 14:30pm for the purposes of assigning appropriate absence cover. Further flexibility around sharing this responsibility can be discussed if a later start time is preferable. For the right candidate, part-time or flexible working will be considered.

This role is truly generalist in nature and offers candidates the opportunity to be involved in all processes of the employee journey. Some main duties include HR administration, absence management tracking, payroll input and recruitment/selection processes. The right candidates will demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and confidentially, ensuring best outcomes for both the school and its staff.

Salary scales for Guiseley School are part of Leeds City Council’s NJC PayScale’s. Salary information detailed is prorated to reflect the ‘take home’ pay for the successful candidate.

The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2023.

Guiseley School is an 11-18 fully inclusive school situated in a small town in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is now a suburb of northwest Leeds and close to the stunning Dales. The school is part of a Co-operative Trust established in 2014.
