We are looking to recruit a part-time Human Resources Consultant to join our central HR Team, based in the Central Office at Sheffield Business Park in Tinsley, and support the expansion of our Trust. The role is part-time, working three days per week with some flexibility around this to meet service needs. This is an exciting opportunity and ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career within HR. You will be joining a supportive team of colleagues and contribute to the continued development of our HR service.

You will need experience of working in Human Resources, ideally within the academy or maintained school sector, and must be committed to providing a quality HR service to leaders and managers, both internally and externally as we provide a HR Consultancy subscription service to other schools in the city.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can provide advice to leaders, managers and employees on a range of general HR issues including pay and conditions, local and national agreements, employment law and good practice.

• Can provide advice and support to the Trust Board, Local Governors, and leaders in the Trust in the management of discipline, grievance, absence, performance, pay, redundancy, restructure, flexible working, family policies, recruitment and TUPE including supporting investigations and provision of advice at hearings.

• Can research, develop and update Trust HR policies and procedures and support implementation.

• Can support the development and implementation of the Trust HR/Payroll system including automation of HR processes to improve efficiency.

• Can support the design and delivery of briefings and training for a range of audiences in respect of HR issues.

• Can carry out analysis of HR metrics and support the production of reports for Trust Board, Executive Team and other audiences across the Trust.

• Work closely and flexibly with the Trust HR and Governance Director to develop the HR service and support strategic planning.
