Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced IB MYP & DP Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative faculty. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) frameworks, with a specialization in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inquiry-based mathematics education, fostering a supportive learning environment, and preparing students for success in IB assessments.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Delivery:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in accordance with the IB MYP and DP Mathematics curriculum.
  • Integrate real-world applications and inquiry-based approaches to enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.


2. Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including IB examinations.


3. Inquiry-Based Learning:

  • Foster a culture of inquiry and critical thinking within the mathematics classroom.
  • Encourage students to explore mathematical concepts through investigations, projects, and collaborative activities.


4. Classroom Management:

  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and collaborative atmosphere.


5. Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in IB MYP and DP Mathematics education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.


6. Parent and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' progress and academic achievements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in parent-teacher conferences.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Teaching certification and/or qualifications.
  • Advanced English language (at least C1 required).
  • Prior experience teaching in an IB World School setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the ability to implement it effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
