We are looking for a creative and inspiring Art Teacher to join our faculty, teaching both the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. This position offers a unique opportunity to foster artistic expression, critical thinking, and cultural awareness among students of all ages. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based art lessons that support students’ creative growth and appreciation of diverse artistic traditions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery:
- Design and deliver stimulating art lessons that align with the IB PYP and MYP frameworks, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
- Foster students’ understanding of various media, techniques, and artistic styles through hands-on projects and experiential learning.
2. Skill Development:
- Guide students in developing foundational and advanced skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Encourage critical thinking and visual literacy by teaching students to analyze and appreciate art from different cultural and historical perspectives.
3. Assessment and Feedback:
- Develop and implement formative and summative assessments in line with IB standards, providing constructive feedback to encourage artistic growth.
- Track and report on student progress, recognizing and nurturing individual strengths and areas for development.
4. Exhibitions and Projects:
- Organize and curate student art exhibitions, showcasing student work within the school and the local community.
- Facilitate group projects and collaborative artwork to develop teamwork skills and foster a sense of community.
5. Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate art into transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary units, enhancing students’ overall learning experience.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in IB education and art instruction.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification and/or qualifications.
- Experience teaching art at the primary and middle school levels, preferably within an IB framework.
- Knowledge of a variety of artistic media and techniques, as well as art history and theory.

- Strong artistic skills and creativity, with a passion for fostering artistic growth in young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Adaptability and flexibility to tailor lessons to meet diverse needs and learning styles.
- Commitment to the values of the International Baccalaureate, with a focus on inquiry-based learning, holistic development, and global awareness.
