Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative ICT  and Design Teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-based instruction in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) frameworks. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through the integration of technology, design principles, and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and Curriculum Development:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with MYP objectives in ICT and Design.
  • Develop and implement a differentiated curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Guide students through design projects and computational thinking tasks, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  1. Assessment and Reporting:

  • Assess student performance using formative and summative assessments aligned with IB standards.
  • Provide meaningful feedback to support student growth and prepare detailed reports for parents and administration.
  1. Student Engagement and Support:

  • Mentor students in independent and collaborative projects
  • Encourage the use of technology to solve problems and create ethical, sustainable solutions.
  • Promote a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and risk-taking.
  1. Professional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and maintain continuity across the curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in technology and design education.
  1. School Community Contribution:

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, robotics, or design competitions.
  • Support school initiatives and events that promote technology and innovation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Design, Technology Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualification (IB experience is preferred).
  • Familiarity with the IB framework and its core principles of inquiry and student-centered learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, design tools, and emerging technologies relevant to the curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a dynamic, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Experience teaching in an international or multicultural school setting.
  • Ability to integrate real-world problem-solving and interdisciplinary learning into lessons.
