We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Inclusion Lead to join our team and provide the very best educational experience for children with SEND at Minehead Middle School. You will be joining a dedicated and caring team who work extensively with internal colleagues and a wide range of external agencies to identify, support, and meet our children’s educational needs. This is a pivotal role that will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure that the SEND provision is appropriate, inclusive and adapts the needs of the young people we serve. You should enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with young people across years 5-8, their families and any relevant external professionals. The salary for this role will be dependant on qualifications and experience and is open to support staff as well as qualified / unqualified teachers to apply.
This position will be offered to the successful candidate subject to references and obtaining the necessary clearances. The school is located in the beautiful West Somerset countryside in the town of Minehead. Built on a large, central site, the Middle school accommodates 605 pupils aged 9 -13 and employs almost 100 staff.
The school premises now combine the best of modern design with the beautiful old grammar school buildings, creating a secure and welcoming environment which supports and enhances the learning of all our children.
The school boasts spacious playing fields and play areas on a 10 acre site. There is a large hall which is used for assemblies, lunch and theatre performances and a separate, large well equipped gymnasium. There are also specialist rooms for music, science, design and technology (DT) and art.
