Our School

Dubai British School Mira is part of the Taaleem family of schools and will offer an exceptional learning experience for more than 1600 students aged between 3 and 18 years of age.

The school is unique in many ways and has been built to the highest specifications, informed by forward-thinking approaches to learning. Facilities include large, light and airy classrooms; purposefully-designed, shaded, outdoor learning spaces; extensive sports facilities, including an 8-lane 25-metre swimming pool with training pool, tennis courts, a fully-equipped functional gym space and multiple sports halls; a food technology room; a digital arts space and a large black-box theatre.

Our multi-cultural environment offers an exceptional combination: the best of a well-rounded British education, delivered within a truly international community. Nurturing high levels of wellbeing is central to our mission, and so creating a caring and supportive environment which allows both staff and students to thrive is essential.

Our Curriculum

Dubai British School Mira will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework in the Foundation Stage, before moving into the National Curriculum for England from Year 1 through to GCSE, BTEC and A-Level pathways in the Secondary school. The curriculum is significantly influenced by the local context and culture within a global setting and is enhanced by the purposeful use of technology. Interdisciplinary learning will allow children to deepen their understanding of concepts across the curriculum, with STEAM playing an integral role in this.

Curriculum enrichment is crucial in providing routes for learners to grow. Experiences offered both within and outside of the school setting will allow children to find and follow their passions; the broad and balanced extra-curricular programme will also harness this zeal.

Through the carefully constructed curriculum, learners will become adept at understanding themselves, their learning journey and how to pursue their potential. Gaining a deeper understanding of who they are will allow them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally as they become global citizens and leaders of the future.

The curriculum will be delivered through the highest-quality teaching, with all learners being understood, nurtured, and celebrated. High standards maintained consistently across the school will ensure all children fulfil their potential as well-rounded individuals.

Taaleem is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. At Taaleem, we hold ourselves to a high standard of effective practices in relation to child protection, and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We expect all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to various background checks including receipt of references, proof of relevant qualifications, identification, and police checks, including overseas checks.
