Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is seeking to appoint an experienced IT Assistant to start in July 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, as well as experience with networking equipment and software. The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system and network issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or any related field 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support and helpdesk support systems.
  •  Good understanding of the Office 365 suites (O365) and Windows Operating systems
  • Experience with networking equipment and software, such as routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
  • Strong working knowledge of AV editing equipment and software
  •  Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility
  •  Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
  •  Ability to work independently, proactively and as part of a team.
  • To have a solid grasp of how to ensure all school IT systems work effectively to support learning and the day to day running of the school.

Core Responsibilities and Expectation

  • Provide technical assistance to all staff and students with Classroom Smartboards, projectors, printers, phones, Laptops, iPads, and other peripheral devices as well as audio-visual support for Staff.
  • Assist with office moves, including cabling and moving IT equipment.
  • Manage the telephone system: create new users, maintain and publish telephone lists, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues.
  • Operate and maintain audio-visual equipment used to amplify record and display sound and images at live events.
  • Responsible for maintenance and operation of all school audio-visual lighting equipment.
  • Work closely with the IT Engineer to plan and execute AV needs for each school event.
  • Attend rehearsals and performances to ensure smooth operation of AV equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues with the school’s computers and software, prioritizing, tracking, and documenting all requests and system changes.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and upgrades to AGS computer hardware and software, ensuring the high availability and efficiency of equipment to all users.
  • Maintain the record of all IT purchase delivery notes and Invoices.
  • Perform the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks assigned by the IT Engineer
  • Manage the student's BYOD devices efficiently through MDM solution.
  • The database of Staff and students must be maintained and updated on applications that the school uses.
  • Onboarding and offboarding of all staff and students access to the list of applications that the school manages.
  • Maintenance of IT equipment regularly and update the IT asset inventory.
  • Repairing of equipment based on need | Computers, Laptops.
  • Safeguarding the IT assets in the office and stand-by IT equipment including mobile phones by proper storage and record keeping.
  •  Installation of application and software maintenance (MS Office, Outlook & other office applications as and when requested with approval)
  • You must always demonstrate, model and advocate the AGS Values.
