Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the computing and associated systems used by the College. The post-holder will work as part of a larger team that provide IT and AV services to all college sites. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the IT industry and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems, Microsoft 365 and other popular software packages.

The successful candidate will be a positive, flexible, enthusiastic and reliable individual who will work well as part of a team as well as using their own initiative.

Applicants should have a good selection of the following skills and experience; excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills, previous experience working in an IT support role, experience with PC hardware, setup, and repair, experience with supporting Android, iOS and MDM systems.

Ideally, the successful candidates would have a driving licence and access to or use of transport would be desirable as the successful candidate will be expected to spend time at Penwith on a flexible basis and our other College sites from time to time.
