IT TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a professional and motivated IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team, providing exceptional user facing technical support within a service desk environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking school renowned for its innovative use of technology in education.
As a Microsoft Showcase School and recipient of the prestigious Edtech50 award, the Royal Hospital School is at the cutting edge of integrating technology into teaching and learning. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and advancing our state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, including our one-to-one Microsoft Surface Scheme, which supports personalised learning for every pupil.
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing a professional first-line technical advisory and diagnostic support service to the school community. You will assist in the setup and maintenance of IT hardware and software, support the operation and upkeep of the school’s audio-visual facilities, and update asset records and documentation as necessary. The role involves producing user documentation and reports, supporting ad hoc projects, and assisting colleagues across the IT team as needed.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills are critical, as is the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
