Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Junior School Subject Coordinator - Maths to join a High School based in Greenwich.

Hours: Part Time 60% - 3 days per week

If you are a well-qualified and passionate junior school teacher looking to develop your career further, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the leadership and direction of Maths at this School.

You will join a thriving and successful Key Stage 2 department and lead by example in the teaching of Maths, promoting excellence and inspiration in teaching and learning as the lead practitioner.

In addition to your excellent subject knowledge, you will need knowledge of current subject-related developments and be able to give clear direction that enables pupils to achieve the highest quality education in the subject.

You will also need excellent knowledge of the key characteristics of quality teaching and learning.

If you have a genuine enthusiasm for the promotion of Maths and are able to communicate your vision for the future direction of the subject within their school they will be delighted to hear from you.

About the School

The High School is a selective school for girls aged 3–18 and was rated “excellent” in their most recent ISI Inspection. They are fortunate to be located on the edge of the stunning Heath and within easy reach of historic Greenwich and Canary Wharf. Following an £18 million investment, their brand-new Senior School has been redeveloped to provide state-of-the-art facilities to ensure that their school environment matches the excellent standard of education they provide.

There are many good reasons to work with them. The High School has a real sense of community, and you’ll be part of it. You’ll be part, too, of the wider family and you’ll be in the company of some of the best and brightest people in independent education. They also offer a variety of benefits, such as:

  • Competitive salaries and pay progression
  • Access to extensive professional development opportunities
  • Training grants for qualifications
  • Generous pension schemes
  • Free life assurance benefit
  • A discount of up to 50% on fees for children
  • Interest free loans for training, computer purchase loans and travel season ticket loans
  • Employee Assistance Programme
