Job Overview:
The KS2 Homeroom Teachers are responsible for delivering high-quality education across core subjects (English, Maths, Science, and Citizenship/PSHE) within the framework of the British Curriculum. The role emphasizes fostering holistic development through embedding life skills and the 4Cs into the curriculum while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Year 3 and Year 4 teachers are the positions initially available. Homeroom Teachers report directly to the Education Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute lessons that are dynamic and aligned with the British Curriculum, while integrating essential skills for students’ personal and academic growth.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Implement formative and summative assessment strategies, maintain accurate records, and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders. Utilize digital platforms such as Google Drive and Google Classroom for documentation and student engagement.
Supervisory Duties: Oversee Classroom Assistants during outdoor supervision and student pick-up/drop-off rotations and support after-school programs as needed.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Work in partnership with a multicultural teaching staff, ELL specialists, and administrative teams to ensure seamless educational delivery and support for all students.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians and actively participate in school meetings, events, and extracurricular activities.
Additional Responsibilities: Adhere to school policies, contribute to extracurricular programs, and participate in professional development opportunities.
