Diamond Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2022.

Role Purpose
Diamond currently has a little over 200 wonderful children from year 3 to year 6 who deserve and need the very best from their short time with us. They need teachers who will keep them safe, encourage them, help them, challenge them, inspire them and ultimately enable them to succeed.
Diamond Academy has a dedicated staff team who work closely with staff at the adjoining Infant School, Queensway Infant Academy . We have a supportive and collaborative working ethos including a commitment to staff wellbeing.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for a passionate and engaging Teacher to support the vision and ethos of our Academy.
The applicant must have:
- QTS;
- Experience of manging a classroom;
- The ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies whilst setting high standards and expectations for pupils;
- Knowledge of current issues and developments in education;
- Able to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner and recognise potential child safeguarding issues;
- Capacity for hard work and the ability to overcome challenges pragmatically.

About Diamond Academy
Diamond is a two-form entry academy in Thetford which caters for around 200 children from Year 3 to Year 6. Our pupils love learning, make great progress and develop as young people fully prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.
We meet our pupils’ learning and pastoral needs through tailored support and challenge across a wide range of subjects and other planned experiences, all delivered by our fantastic staff team.
We have a spacious building with specialist teaching areas and wonderful grounds, complete with an excellent Forest Schools area and plans to make our learning environment an even better place in which to learn and grow.
