Job overview

Uniting Our World Through Global Learning

Since 1987, Participate Learning has partnered with schools and districts to empower educators and prepare students for the global marketplace. Our programs and professional development offerings prioritise language proficiency, cultural competency, and critical thinking, ensuring students are ready for a connected world.

Teaching in the USA with Participate Learning is more than just a job—it's a transformative experience. As a Participate Learning Ambassador Teacher, you'll empower students and fellow educators to positively impact the world by playing a vital role in fostering global, cultural, and language connections within schools. You'll embark on a journey of cultural exchange, sharing your traditions, planning events to celebrate your favourite holidays, and embracing U.S. culture.

In collaboration with Fairfax County Public Schools, we are excited to offer international teachers the opportunity to transform our communities' most valuable potential—our children—and shape a thriving future. Fairfax teacher salaries are widely known as one of the most competitive in the U.S. education system; please follow the link to the school district salary scale.

At Cameron Elementary, our Mission is to cultivate an appreciation for diversity and build a unified community - ONE CAMERON - through daily actions and words.

Any educator who wishes to join Cameron’s School Community will support our core values of respecting each person's culture and learning style while helping students grow as people and build positive relationships.

As one of the original 13 colonies, Virginia has many historic landmarks, including Mount Vernon, the location of George Washington’s first home and Colonial Williamsburg. Richmond is the state’s capital and one of the country’s oldest cities. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy visiting the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the western part of the state. Additionally, Virginia offers city living among the suburbs of Washington, DC and miles of beachfront access to the Atlantic Ocean for those who love spending time at the coast.

We are looking for passionate Elementary school teachers committed to sharing their culture, embracing U.S. culture, and increasing mutual understanding between U.S. citizens and citizens of their home country. All applicants must hold a Primary teaching qualification and currently teach within a Primary school setting.

All international candidates are required to apply directly with Participate Learning. Participate Learning has been an official BridgeUSA exchange visitor program with the U.S. Department of State for more than 30 years and has helped more than 10,000 international educators experience teaching full-time in the U.S. Participate Learning is designated to screen, provide visa sponsorship, and support participants throughout their stay in the United States in conjunction with their host school. Candidates must successfully complete Participate Learning’s application process to be considered for this position.
