Kitchen Porter position at Sebright Primary School - 25 hours per week (term-time only)

Required from 6 January 2025

Fixed Term Contract (for a year in the first instance)

Scale 2 (£29,286 – £29,703 pro-rata, actual salary £17,650)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at Sebright Primary School.

We have high expectations and offer a warm and supportive environment to our staff. We believe that staff are our most valuable resource and look after them well.

We wish to appoint a Kitchen Porter who will:

• Provide support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
• Prepare service areas and equipment in the service area for the efficient and effective delivery of meals and catering services.
• Clean catering areas and kitchen equipment to the required standards

You will have:

• A Level 2 Certificate of Food Hygiene
• Experience of catering
• Knowledge of basic food preparations such as sandwiches, salads, etc.
• Knowledge of Natasha’s law
• Knowledge of allergy legislation
• The ability to read and complete simple instructions, such as cleaning rota, work rota, temperature control.
