Job overview

Edgeborough School is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and qualified KS1/EYFS Teacher to inspire children in our nurturing, caring and collaborative Pre-Prep Department. This is a maternity cover appointment for up to 2 ½ terms.

The successful candidate will join a teaching team devoted to the holistic well-being and happiness of the child. The Pre-Prep department and ethos is one that is built on relationships and on providing each and every young learner the environment and school-experience that they need to thrive.

We employ an enquiry-based approach to teaching and learning, with hands-on activity, purpose and pupil-ownership at the heart of all lessons. The curriculum is skills-based, with the tenants of Independence, Communication, Collaboration and Thinking & Learning underpinning all subjects areas.

No day is ever the same in the Pre-Prep, with our pupils able to enjoy a rich array of opportunities every week. From Sport to French, Cookery to OWL (Outdoor Woodland Learning), we make the most of the wider site, benefitting from the many facilities and enviable learning spaces that we have available to us.

There is ambition in what we offer but also great care and love. It remains that at the core of all we do comes the child. It is the children who make our school what it is, who fill our corridors with laughter and who bring joy to daily life and learning.
