Welwyn St Mary's is a large, popular village Church of England school with well-motivated children, a very supportive staff team and a wonderful learning environment. We wish to appoint a KS1 Class Teacher from January/February 2023. For the right candidate we can be flexible regarding full or part-time contract. As a two-form entry school you will have the support from colleagues and an experienced Senior Leadership Team.

The headteacher and governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed classroom teacher who is able to work cooperatively in the staff team and become involved in all aspects of school life.

The successful candidate is likely to:

• be an excellent teacher with high expectations of pupil achievement
• be well organised with good interpersonal skills
• have a good knowledge and understanding of primary education and commitment to assessment for learning
• have an imaginative and caring approach which values and addresses the needs of each pupil and their welfare/safeguarding
• be sympathetic to the aims and ethos of a Voluntary Aided Church of England school

Our school is two-form entry and the staff includes 20 teaching assistants. We are a supportive and happy team.
