Job overview

This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of the development of a unique and brand new Key Stage 2 provision at Shortenills, our SEMH secondary nurture school in Chalfont St Giles.

Shortenills is set in ten acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire woodland and is the perfect setting for students with social, emotional and/or mental health needs. At Shortenills, we believe that students with SEMH needs can benefit hugely from both nurture and nature.

Our new 'Finding My Voice' programme for Key Stage 2 pupils will be:

  • Rooted in the principles of nurture and forest school, a 1-day per week alternative provision to run alongside a mainstream offer.
  • Designed to change lives, this is a unique approach that will support young people to change their narrative and the narrative that others have of them.
  • Taking place in the outdoors or in our yurt, no matter the weather. It will run daily with a different group of children each day,
