Are you an energetic KS3/4 General Teacher (SEND) with extensive experience of working with a range of young people with complex needs in an education setting, and a passion for inclusion, enabling all children to overcome barriers to learning? Are you are looking to start your next Teaching role in the Autumn term, or January 2025 at the latest?

We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and inspirational KS3/4 General Teacher (SEND) to plan and deliver a range of subjects (specialist subjects to be discussed) across a tutor group and other KS3/4 groups.

As a KS3/4 General Teacher (SEND) you will need to demonstrate compassion, understanding and flexibility in your approach ensuring progression is central to all learning whilst giving our pupils the confidence to grow as they progress.  

You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for our pupils. You should have experience of working with young people with complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.

Over the last 2 years the school has been through positive changes and developments, with a new Headteacher, strengthened Senior Leadership Team, and a revised business strategy to support significant growth.

The position of KS3/4 General Teacher (SEND) has been created to support the growth of the school and the needs of our pupils, it is a great opportunity to be part of a team proving the very best possible educational opportunities for our pupils within a nurturing and supportive setting.

Our school 

Coombe House School is an independent special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with SEMH, ASC and associated complex difficulties. All pupils on roll have an EHCP and the school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on positive relationships and viewing behaviour as communication.
