Job overview

We are looking to appoint a creative, energetic and enthusiastic Learning Support Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant School. The primary duty of a Learning Support Teaching Assistant is to make education inclusive to students with underlying specific learning needs, and duties may vary widely depending on pupil and departmental needs. This is a permanent full-time position, term time only.

A childcare qualification at level 3 or higher is desirable in addition to the experience of working with KS3 and KS4 children. The postholder will deal with a wide variety of people, so must be an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills.

The ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment using your initiative are key attributes for this role along with the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.

Leehurst Swan School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All our staff are trained in child protection and work within the staff code of conduct and whistle blowing policies.

Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Completed application forms along with a covering letter and current CV should be returned to Mrs Lindsay Chater bursar@leehurstswan.org.uk.
