Edison Primary School seeks experienced educators (minimum two years of experience) with a passion for primary education. Successful candidates will have experience teaching in a primary school, will be flexible and able to adapt lessons to specific standards and themes, and will promote learning through CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics).

Necessary Requirements:

• An official teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE
• A proficiency in English equivalent to C2 level
• Familiarity with the International Cambridge curriculum
• Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• How they have successfully coordinated the Cambridge curriculum
• Knowledge of current initiatives and developments in the UK education system
• Experience in creating and delivering effective lesson plans
• The ability to use assessment data to monitor progress and encourage learning
• Strong classroom management and pastoral skills
• Knowledge of child protection policies
• Confidence in using technology for administrative and instructional purposes
• A willingness to collaborate and work in a team environment

Responsibilities:

• Curriculum planning: Developing and reviewing the curriculum, ensuring that it meets the Cambridge standards and aligns with the school's vision and goals.
• Teacher training: Providing training and support to teachers in implementing the curriculum effectively, including guiding them on teaching methodologies, assessment strategies and lesson planning.
• Assessment: Overseeing the assessment process, ensuring that the assessments are aligned with the curriculum, and providing guidance to teachers on how to assess student progress.
• Monitoring and evaluation: Monitoring the implementation of the curriculum, including lesson plans, teaching materials, and student performance data, to ensure that the curriculum is being delivered effectively.
• Reporting: Preparing regular reports on the implementation of the curriculum and student progress, and sharing these reports with school leadership, teachers, parents, and students.
• Liaison: Working closely with the Cambridge International Examination Board, other schools and organisations, and the wider educational community to stay up to date with the latest developments in the curriculum, and to share best practices and collaborate on improving the curriculum.
• Communication: Maintaining regular communication with teachers, students, and parents to ensure they are aware of the curriculum objectives, assessment processes, and student progress.
