Contract: Term time only, Full time, 36 hrs per week, 39 weeks (8.00am – 4.00pm, 8.00am – 2.30 Wednesday)
Due to the retirement of a team member, we are seeking an enthusiastic Technician with experience of a similar role in a school, college or a professional laboratory. The ideal candidate will be educated to at least ‘A’ Level standard (‘A’ level Chemistry is a requirement).
Reporting to the Senior Technician, you will be preparing resources for ‘A’ Level Chemistry lessons at the request of the science teachers, ensuring that these resources are provided efficiently. Science subjects are a popular choice for our students and as such this is a busy role. The science technicians play an essential role in the smooth running of the department. A good understanding of laboratory conditions and related Health & Safety precautions is expected.
The successful applicant will:
· Have experience of working in a similar role within an educational or professional establishment
· Has a stated passion for Science
· Be highly organised, have a can-do attitude and is always willing to support our students
