Lead Practitioner for Physics (Teacher of Science)

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Lead Practitioner for Physics to further strengthen our excellent Science Faculty. Applications are invited from inspiring classroom practitioners who are dedicated to delivering our exciting science curriculum across all abilities at Key Stage 3 and 4 and who will build on our existing strong physics provision and curriculum to further engage students and develop the best scientists of the future! The successful candidate will be able to deliver exciting, innovative and engaging science lessons, ensuring students achieve their full potential. The candidate will also be passionate and dedicated to ensuring physics provision across the academy is captivating for students, and also improve outcomes in Combined Science and Physics at GCSE.

Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11-16 year old students. Our ambition statement is ‘Shaping Lives, Building Ambition and Igniting Futures’ and every decision we make and action we take is to ensure our students excel as young adults. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse co-curricular programme that develops character and inspires our students. We all work together to instil a strong sense of belonging for all, which enables students to succeed and become active members of the community as they move into adulthood.
