About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Lead Practitioner for Digital Futures and Innovation to join our talented team and spearhead the development of our new T-Level in Digital and Computing. This is not just a teaching role – it’s a leadership position that will allow you to influence the direction of digital education across the entire academy.
In this role, you will be instrumental in:
- Leading Digital Strategy: Shape the future of digital education at Global Academy, driving innovation in curriculum design and delivery.
- Building Industry Partnerships: Work closely with leading companies such as Global, SAP, and Google to co-develop curriculum content, ensuring it meets industry standards and expectations.
- Inspiring Excellence in Teaching: Mentor and support staff across the academy, sharing best practices in digital pedagogy and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Expanding Digital Literacy: Develop programmes and initiatives that promote digital literacy and skills across the academy, ensuring all students leave with the competencies required to succeed in the digital world.

Key Responsibilities
Your role will be diverse and impactful, allowing you to make a genuine difference across the academy. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Curriculum Development: Lead the design and delivery of the Digital T-Level and Computing curriculum, ensuring it reflects current industry trends and technological advancements.
- Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver outstanding lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles, setting a high standard for teaching in digital subjects.
- Innovation in Pedagogy: Drive innovation in teaching methodologies, exploring new approaches such as blended learning, project-based learning, and flipped classrooms.
- Data Management: Lead on data analysis and management for the whole academy, using data insights to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
- Community Engagement: Develop and lead community-based digital initiatives, such as coding clubs for local primary schools and inter-school technology competitions.
- Student Enrichment: Offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, including e-sports, coding, and digital media clubs, to enhance the student experience.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in both education and industry, someone who can bring the best of both worlds to this role. You’ll have:
- Proven Leadership Experience: A background in leading teams and projects, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- In-Depth Knowledge of Digital and Computing: Expertise in digital technologies and their application in education and industry.
- A Passion for Innovation: A commitment to staying ahead of the curve and bringing new ideas and approaches to digital teaching and learning.
