We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Practitioner of Maths to join our dynamic mathematics department. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will:

  • Model exceptional teaching: Deliver high-quality maths lessons and demonstrate best practices in pedagogy.
  • Lead on raising standards: Use data and evidence-based strategies to improve student attainment and progress across the department.
  • Mentor and coach staff: Provide guidance and support to develop the teaching skills of other maths teachers.
  • Innovate the curriculum: Work collaboratively to design and implement engaging and effective maths lessons and resources.
  • Drive whole-school improvement: Play a central role in developing the school’s approach to teaching and learning, particularly in maths.

This position is subject to appropriate vetting procedures including an online checks and criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions.

 Salary:                              L1 – L4 - £47,185 - £50,807 FTE (Pay Award Pending)  

Working hours:               32.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, Full Time, All year
