We are looking for a Lead Practitioner of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the teaching staff. We are an 11 to 18 school situated on the southern side of Bracknell town centre. We are a community school. Furthermore, you will lead, develop and implement an effective coaching and mentoring model to support colleagues in delivering outstanding lessons. Main responsibilities:
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school
- Fully engaging in the Developmental Drop In (DDI) process by giving and receiving feedback
- To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth
- Deliver staff training and evaluate the effectiveness of current training
- To lead, monitor and evaluate the assessment and feedback to students in line with whole school and department policy

You will need:
- Relevant degree
- Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards
- Experience of working in a school setting
- Evidence of / Commitment to continuing professional development
