Leader of Development of Teaching and Learning Assistants for Uckfield Schools

2 Year Fixed Term Contract, MPS-UPS

Uckfield College is a highly successful and popular college in the heart of rural Sussex yet within commuting distance of Brighton, Eastbourne and the South Coast.  Our college is an excellent working environment characterised by happy, well-motivated students and innovative and enthusiastic teachers. 

We are looking for an inspirational, enthusiastic and experienced Teacher with excellent experience and knowledge of SEND issues, who will devise and lead a workplace development programme for Learning/Teaching Assistants.  The successful candidate will work alongside the SENDCOs and SEND departments of Uckfield primary and secondary schools to enhance their work. 

The successful candidate will have:

• excellent teaching skills
• experience of SEND issues
• experience of training other staff
• knowledge of running effective interventions
• expertise in devising intervention programmes and resources
