The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The Department of Children’s Services would like to recruit a permanent Learner and Business Support Manager who is enthusiastic, competent and flexible.
You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to meet the special knowledge, experience, qualifications required for the role which will be used for shortlisting.
The key competencies we would be looking for in a suitable candidate – ability to:
- To lead and manage a multi-disciplined team delivering a comprehensive guidance support and improvement service for all staff and learners within Skills for Work programmes.
- To manage the SFW quality improvement journey to develop, implement and monitor initiatives that achieve performance outcomes and maximise income in support of the Skills for Work manager.
- Lead the development of new business opportunities to achieve sustained growth of provision. This will be done by networking, creating and developing partnerships between the ESFA, Employers, Awarding bodies, Children Centres, Schools, JCP, external agencies.
