Job overview

Bonus Pastor is a really exciting place to work, with innovative £22 million buildings and amazing facilities. The school was judged Outstanding again in every category by Ofsted in October 2023 and students consistently achieve above-average attainment and progress.

The SEND department is at the heart of the College and has an outstanding reputation for managing the complex needs of those students with specific EHC plans and many other SEND students who have a wide range of special educational needs. What underpins the success of the department is the desire to ensure our students can achieve their maximum potential, gain independence and social awareness so that they can enjoy and participate in the school environment alongside their mainstream peers.

As a result of the significant increase in demand of those with EHC plans choosing Bonus Pastor Catholic College as their school of choice we are looking to appoint outstanding candidates who may be qualified to degree level or hold relevant professional qualifications and/or experience to join our successful SEND department. You will need to demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, and an absolute commitment to improving the life chances of all our SEND students regardless of background or ability.

Excellent CPD opportunities are available and this would be an ideal opportunity for high quality candidates to develop within the SEND team or graduates who may be considering a teaching career.

Bonus Pastor Catholic College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). We implement all elements of the safer recruitment process and all posts are subject to pre-employment checks, which may include online searches. References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Please note you do not need to be Catholic to apply.

Closing date for applications: 30th September 2024 with interview dates TBC (we reserve the right to close the advert earlier).
