Scale 4 Learning Support Assistants, salary £16,080 - £16,958
27.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm), Term Time Only
We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced classroom support staff to join our school in June 2022.
Castlebar is an ‘Outstanding’ Special School for primary aged children with moderate to severe complex learning difficulties. We are very proud of our achievements, but more than anything we are very proud of the children we are privileged to work with.
We are seeking professionals who:
• Have at least 1 years’ experience of working with children who have special needs
• Have good written and verbal communications skills and be numerate (to be tested)
• Be able to work as a team, yet use your own initiative
• Be prepared to work with children who may have challenging behaviours
Ideally, you will also:
• Be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2/3 in childcare, or equivalent
• Have knowledge of differentiated learning and multisensory techniques
• Developed skills and/or have training in motivational behaviour approaches
