 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced or budding Learning Support to join our school.

Orchard School is an independent day school providing education for learners with a wide range of special education needs including SEMH, Cognition & Learning and Communication and Interaction difficulties.  The school is part of Melrose Education Limited.

You’ll need almost limitless supplies of energy, enthusiasm and optimism to support our learners who may have suffered trauma throughout their childhood to help them develop their love for learning again, enabling them to achieve their full potential in life.

At the Orchard we understand every child is unique and requires a personalised learning package, which we develop together as a team.

You must have a proven background in the the SEND sector, or the desire and ambition to work in this environment. You must also have excellent ICT, administration, and organisational skills. It is imperative that you are able to form good working relationships, not only with colleagues, but with our learners and their families. You will be an excellent role model, be resilient, and flexible.  You will have excellent communicational skills and a desire to really make a positive difference to the lives of our young people.

We offer full training packages, as below, for successful candidates, so experience is not vital although driving licence is essential.
