Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and dedicated maths team at Selby College.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach Mathematics at functional, GCSE and A Level standard and will be one of the team of Lecturers delivering Mathematics in the College, which currently has around 220 full-time A Level students.
The College offers classes both in the daytime and evening, to which the successful candidate may be expected to contribute. Mathematics results have been excellent, reflecting the ability of the students which the College attracts, and the College has recently received a Good grade in the OFSTED Inspection.
There will be opportunities to develop the embedding of maths into all areas of teaching and learning, as well as supporting departments who identify maths requirements within the new FE and HE qualifications.
This post represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mathematics Lecturer to develop teaching and learning strategies in a pleasant learning environment.
Selby College is in a rural location between Leeds and York, with excellent transport links and up to date facilities across the site.
