 The States of Guernsey is looking for a Lecturer in Sport to join the College of Further Education.


An enthusiastic and innovative lecturer is required on to take an important role in the delivery of full time and part time courses in Sport & Active Leisure. Currently the provision uses predominantly OCR Cambridge Technical Subsidiary Diploma and Extended Diploma in Sport. Working with the Head of Department and the wider department team, the lecturer will plan, provide and monitor high quality teaching and assessment of students' work.


The lecturer will also provide support and guidance in preparing students for further/higher education, training or employment. The lecturer will have an outward facing approach to engaging learners in the wider community and vice versa to ensure that learners gain a vocationally relevant and enriching experience.

Job Description

 

This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme. 

 

For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector. There are also good schools on Island for those candidates looking to bring their families with them.
