There is an opportunity to combine this role with another position and to work up to 37 hours per week:

If combined with an administrative support role Pro-rata 37 hours (Librarian and Administrative Support)- £19,544 - £20,209

If combined with a tutoring and phonics support role (qualified teacher only) then the additional hours and teaching salary would be agreed at the time of appointment (between approximately 5 – 10 hours, temporary for a year in the first instance.)

The Governors of this outstanding Church of England Academy are seeking to appoint a Librarian, to manage the day to day running of our fantastic library and enable pupils to access services to support learning. The successful candidate will be passionate about reading and working with young people. They should be highly organised, pro-active, capable of working independently and as part of a busy team.

Hours of work for the post would be agreed with the person appointed and involve supervising pupil use of the library until 4.30pm on Monday to Thursday and until 3.30 on Friday as well as at break and lunchtimes.

They enter the school with standards that are above average and, by the end of their five years in the school, reach standards that are consistently and exceptionally high and make outstanding progress.
