St Patricks is a Parish Co-educational Secondary College of approximately 480 students in Gympie. Gympie is located approximately 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a qualified Library Technician / Aide to undertake a variety of tasks within our College Library.
The successful applicant will assist with library activities and provide information services to students across all year levels and school staff.
Duties include:
• facilitating circulation of resources
• maintaining equipment and materials
• providing administration support
• assisting teachers and students
• associated library tasks
Skills and Experience
• an understanding of the work of a library or resource centre with experience and knowledge in the use technology;
• proven communication and interpersonal skills;
• a sound knowledge of audio-visual equipment is highly desirable.

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term): remainder of 2021 school year
Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 5 days/week (30 hours/week) Monday to Friday
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 4 - $32.23 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
