**Position:** Lower Elementary School Teacher

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
• Design and deliver a rigorous, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with school standards and the science of learning
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs, using differentiated strategies and inclusive practices
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that supports all students’ academic and personal growth
• Support students’ social-emotional development through goal setting, reflection, and skills such as empathy and self-regulation
• Establish and maintain clear expectations, routines, and structures that promote positive behavior and mutual respect
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress and develop metacognitive skills
• Foster a collaborative and productive working relationship with the Learning Assistant
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure each student’s needs are met
• Communicate regularly with families about student learning, well-being, and ways to support growth at home
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation aligned with school policies
• Participate actively in school events, committees, and co-curricular programming
• Organize and supervise educational experiences beyond the classroom, including trips and activities
• Prepare and maintain engaging classroom materials, resources, and displays
• Demonstrate professional responsibility through punctuality, preparedness, and clear communication
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and share best practices with colleagues
• Represent the school with professionalism in public and help to promote its positive reputation in the wider community
**Skills and Qualifications:**
• A relevant teaching certification and degree in Education or a related field are preferred.
• A Master’s degree in Education is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience teaching in progressive, globally oriented learning environments.
• Expertise in early literacy and numeracy instruction.
• Experience supporting English language learners (ELLs) or multilingual students is preferred.
• A dedication to continuous learning and reflective practice.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, evolving school environment.
• Experience with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or other curriculum frameworks that prioritize inquiry and conceptual understanding.
