Math Teacher (Temporary)

Bright Learners Private School, an esteemed American school in Dubai, is a seeking passionate and dedicated individual to join our team immediately as a Temporary Grade 6 Math Teacher. As a valued member of our educational community, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for elementary school students.

This role is temporary and will end by the July 5, 2024. A successful candidate may have the opportunity for full-time position academic year of 2024-2025.

Under the supervision of the leadership team, the primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Collaborate with the leadership team and faculty to effectively perform and carry out lesson plans, ensuring a seamless transition in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

2. Provide advisory, service learning, and other professional support as required by the assignment, contributing to the holistic development of students.

3. Cover the designated number of sections as defined by the assignment, delivering high-quality instruction and maintaining an interactive and stimulating classroom atmosphere. 

4. Follow attendance guidelines established by the School, keeping accurate records to support the continuity of the learning process.

5. Read and adhere to the guidelines outlined in the school Faculty Handbook, ensuring alignment with the school's educational philosophy and standards.

6. Assume all other duties as assigned by the school leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the school community.

Qualifications:

- B.A. or B.S. degree in an appropriate field, M.A. or M.S. preferred.

- Experience in an independent school environment is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with the unique aspects of private education.

- Excellent collegiality, professionalism, and organizational ability, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

- Superior oral and written communication skills, facilitating effective communication with students, colleagues, and parents.

- English proficiency is required. IELTS score as requested

- Ability to work well with teenagers and their parents, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and a commitment to student success.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work independently when needed.
